Absolutely not! During our consultations I do go over model release forms. Even if at the time you give me the OKAY to share photos I would never post photos without your consent after seeing the full gallery. Birth doesn't leave you the same person as you were when you started this journey, so once you receive your gallery you can let me know of any photos you want shared or not shared!

A birth photographer is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week typically from 37 weeks onward until you deliver. Some midwives, in some cases will their client go up to 42 weeks gestation Yup, 5 weeks on call potentially! It is an incredible time commitment, and we do it because we LOVE it!  When you hire a wedding photographer the date is secured for sometimes over 18 months! Babies have their own schedule and when I am on call everything to a hault!

I carry all high photography gear that allows me to work in all kinds of birth spaces. I hand edit each photo and deliver a high quality gallery that brings every emotion and every memory right to that very moment. 

I always discuss this with my families afterwards, and all have said hardly! They can't even believe the photos I deliver as they didn't even know I was there. Once you're in active labour everything is pretty much inward as you get into your zone and power through to bring baby earth side. 

I am not a "certified" doula, but I am human and in human nature it is typical to provide support, nurture, and comfort in various situation. I have a passion for child birth, and have experience working with midwives, doulas and doctors. I have supported several families while photographing their births. I also always bring a bag of birth "tools" to support you, like a sling, yoga blocks, comb (used to squeeze while in a contraction).
